Cell To Cell
As part of my final assignment for the course Sound Project 1 at Digital Arts & Entertainment, I overhauled the sound design for the video "Cell To Cell". This video was made by VFX students of the school to raise awareness for athletes with cardiovascular issues.
What Did i learn?
• I learned how to work using a linear media workflow, using busses for the different sound groups and splitting my work into different projects such as a sound design and a recording project
• I learned how to bounce and mix my audio to conform to the EBU R128 (-23 LUFS) standard
• I decided to synthesize and record as much sounds as possible, which improved my sound design skills drastically and taught me how to create certain sounds from scratch such as whooshes, heartbeats, camera flashes, (more examples in the video)
5.1 Mix
As an extra, I had the opportunity to mix this video in a 5.1 surround studio. Below you can hear the result (if you have access to a 5.1 studio ofcourse).
